Work With Me

double bass lessons

Not every student needs long-term weekly lessons.

Some need help with a specific technical issue. Others need clarity on how to prepare for auditions, examinations, or school orchestra demands. Some simply want an experienced second opinion before deciding what to do next.

My role is to understand your situation and recommend the most appropriate form of support.

This may take the form of a consultation, short-term coaching, or ongoing lessons.

Step 1: Understand the Problem

We begin by identifying what is limiting progress — whether technical, musical, or related to practice approach.

This ensures that any next step is targeted and meaningful.

Step 2: Choose the Right Type of Support

Depending on the situation, I may recommend:

• A consultation (diagnosis + advice + direction)

• Short-term coaching (focused problem-solving)

• Ongoing lessons (structured development)

Step 3: Work Towards Clear Progress

Regardless of format, the goal is the same:

To help the student move forward with greater clarity, efficiency, and confidence.

Who This Is For

• Students who feel stuck despite regular practice

• School orchestra bassists needing specialised guidance

• Students preparing for SYF, exams, or auditions

• Parents unsure what type of support their child needs

• Returning adult learners

• Musicians seeking a second opinion on technique or progress
